This site has been created for and about
Angels. They
surround us with their quiet support, and gentle "touch" from the moment we are born, until the day they escort us to our place
above.
They come in many forms, and sometimes without our knowing they are even there; throughout our lives they guide us through
times in our lives when we think that we are totally alone. But if we were to stop long enough to "listen", we would hear an Angel Whisper.
I'd like to dedicate this site to my very own "Personal
Angel", my husband and best
friend Jim. He has truly brought love and joy into my life. Each day I thank God for sending him
into my life. I love you Jim!
I've always said that if a person could read my poetry they would understand my life. So for those of you who want to know
me better or just enjoy my poetry, keep reading. For a brief
autobiography, click here. c.a. underwood

Barb.....this poem is for you especially.
You left us to quickly....we miss you and feel your overwhelming presence.
Your dedication to the Saving of Animals of all kinds lives on.
Think of me when your heart needs a smile.
Think of me more than once in awhile.
Think of me when the darkness turns into light.
Think of me when I'm far from your sight.
Think of me when your passion for life is asleep.
Think of me fondly in the memories you keep.
Think of me when my life is done.
Think of me knowing that I've finally won.

Jim, my husband and soul
mate, ....without you, there
would be no meaning to
the verses. Thank you for
loving me!

I'm the shadow near your footstep
On a moonlit winters' night.
I'm the snowflake drifting slowly downward
Just within your sight.
I'm the whisper that the wind makes
On a sunny springtime day.
I'm the butterfly who pauses in mid air
To see you on your way.
I'm the warmth around your collar
On the hottest day of June.
I'm the shooting star you see
Flying past the moon.
I'm the autumn leaves that float
So softly to the ground.
I'm the part of every season
Who'll always be around.

This one's for you Lauril.....
My best friend, my
confidante, and most of all,
my Mom.
Thanks my friend for being there.
To hear the words of confusion
And to help me sort them out.
You've held my hand tightly to
Keep me from falling;
Letting go when you knew I could stand.
Thanks my friend for sharing your dreams;
And your troubles.
You've made me realize that I'm not alone.
Your enthusiasm for the small triumphs in life has given me the
Courage to overcome my own obstacles.
Thanks my friend for giving me a space of my own in this world.
Most of all, thanks for helping me realize that
I deserve that space.

For my Sister, Linda, you bring
true meaning to the word "sister," Mom would be so proud! I love
you
from the bottom of my heart. I am so blessed to have a Sister that is
an Angel too.
How I long to be there
With all of you today.
Although we've talked on the phone,
There are still many more words to say.
Time and distance are the enemy,
But our love keeps us strong.
Although we hardly see one another,
We still know in our hearts that we belong.
So let's all put our hearts together;
From a distance and so near.
Everyone should be so lucky,
To have a family so dear.

This poem is for the four young ladies whom are all very special to me, each in
their own way. My nieces Tami and Mindy, and my Step-daughters, Becky and Jenny.

My wish for you is happiness;
That comes from deep inside.
My wish for you is freedom;
To share all the feelings that you hide.
My wish for you is peace;
That comes from letting go.
My wish for you is joy;
To let the whole world know.
My wish for you is a smile;
That comes from knowing you're gonna be alright.
My wish for you is contentment;
To help you sleep through the night.
My wish for you is trust;
That comes from not believing in defeat.
My wish for you is love;
To make your heart and soul complete.
